I haven’t had a meal here, but I did try an iced latte once. The interior had a cute, cozy café vibe, and it felt quite charming. They seemed to have a wide variety of sweet drinks and desserts, so I think it’s a good spot for people who enjoy those kinds of treats.
It wasn’t very busy when I visited, but it still took quite a while for my coffee to be ready. By the time I got it, the ice cream on top had melted. It was an okay experience for me, but I’m happy to leave it at that. Thanks for the recommendation, though!

We recently celebrated my mum’s 80th birthday at Sumo’s Restaurant, and I cannot speak highly enough of the entire experience. We booked the restaurant exclusively for dinner, and from start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make the evening truly special.
Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of — from the warm and attentive service to the beautifully set tables and celebratory touches that made Mum feel incredibly honoured. The staff were not only professional, but genuinely kind and caring, treating our family like their own.
The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was bursting with flavour, and the portions were incredibly generous. Our guests were raving about the quality and variety, and no one left hungry!
Thank you to the team at Sumo’s for creating such a memorable and joyful night for our family. Mum was absolutely thrilled, and it’s a celebration we will treasure forever. Highly recommend Sumo’s for any special occasion — they truly know how to make it unforgettable.

What a surprise to see a new menu coming up with cute and elegant style after being a regular customer. The restaurant team seems to really know what they are doing.
Tried their new Spicy Yuzu Ramen tonight and love the fresh and spice tone.

This is my new favorite ramen place in Christchurch. I tried spicy miso ramen, tonkosu ramen, black garlic ramen. It is surprisingly delicious! And strongly recommended their Fired Chicken as well.
